The Horse Carlovian
Carlovian was a 22 race maiden before Mark Walford and I bought him out of a seller in May. A 3rd at Ripon back in July, and then finally breaking his maiden tag on the 24th time of asking, on only his 2nd run with our Trainer, Mark Walford.
He followed his first win up with another win at Leicester, winning easily and impressively off a mark of 48, and still looks like he has a stack in hand. We brought him to Wolverhampton, on the tabeta surface on the 10th of August, but whilst travelling well and shaping like the likely winner, he failed to pick up and ran on into 3rd place. Still a fantastic run and another fine example of the training performance by Mark Walford. He cost £28,000 as a yearling and has some extremely strong form as a 2 year old. His 4th at Ayr when a 2 year old looks like very strong form. NO EDUCATION who was a length in front of him went onto win a good handicap in France, and placed in a Listed race. IF he can get him back to anywhere near that sort of form, CARLOVIAN could have up to 30lbs in hand off his current mark so there could be plenty more races to win, and I'm extremely excited for what lies a head.
Since purchasing Carlovian, he has won FOUR and placed FIVE with us from only 20 races. He has shown form over 5 furlongs (WON), 6 furlongs (PLACED three), 7 furlongs (WON twice), and 8.5 furlongs (PLACED):
3rd at Ripon 21st of June (6 furlongs)
1st at Catterick 12th of July (7 furlongs)
1st at Leicester 26th of July (7 furlongs)
3rd at Wolverhampton 10th of August (7 furlongs)
2nd at Hamilton 5th of September (8.5 furlongs)
1st at Ayr 4th Of June 2018 (7 furlongs)
3rd at Redcar 26th of September (6 furlongs)
3rd at Newcastle 3rd of October (6 furlongs)
1st at Wolverhampton 12th of October (5 furlongs)
Shares are available in this at £100 per 1% and £30 a month training fee's which include all vet bills and any other costs. There will be NO added costs.

The Trainer Mark Walford
I contacted trainers from all around the country and from the moment I spoke with Mark I knew he was our man. A very friendly and genuine guy, I look forward to working along side him.
Mark has been brought up around racehorses from a very young age and his father Tim Walford trained winners over jumps and on the flat for over 15 years. Mark used to ride out for Mick Easterby when he was younger which led to him riding more than 80 winners as an amateur jockey.
His training career began as a Pupil Assistant to Mick Channon before moving on to work as John Quinn’s Assistant Trainer for two years. Along with working for a majority of British trainers, Mark spent some time in America with top trainer, Neil Drysdale who has won two Triple Crown races, The Belmont Stakes and the Kentucky Derby. He has worked as an Assistant to his father since 2008.
Mark took over the trainers license from his father Tim in 2014 and is keen to continue the yards great success with horses under both codes and aims to build upon his parents hard work and achievements. His father, Tim still works as an Assistant and they all have big ambitions to grow the yard in size.
